Power Air Fryer Fan Is Not Working? (Possible Causes & Fixes)

A power air fryer fan not working can be a real nightmare for your cooking.

But before you get frustrated, you should check to see if there are other reasons that it may not be working. Here we’ll run through the most common causes and how to fix them:

-The power cord is unplugged

-Unplug the unit and plug it back in.

-The blades will need cleaning

-If food residue has built up on the blades, they will need lubrication by spraying some cooking oil on them.

-The basket is dirty  -The basket can get dirty, and if that happens, the fan won’t work.

-The thermostat has been damaged -This one is a bit more complicated, but you can still take steps to fix it. If the thermostat has been damaged, or is not working at all, it will need to be replaced. But you can get replacement parts for a broken thermostat here

– The timer settings have been misused or adjusted incorrectly -One of the most common causes of this issue is using your unit on too high of a setting. You should always set your air fryer to the lowest possible heat setting. If you have a problem with your timer, this is how you can fix it:

How do I make sure my Airfryer will not overheat:

1.Make sure that your countertop is clean, and that there are no flammables nearby (a few inches away from the front of the unit should be good enough)

2.Like we mentioned before, make sure that you are using a lower temperature setting

3.You must also make sure that you aren’t cooking for too long or monitoring the food too much (when overused, excessive monitoring can throw off your cooking schedule)

4.Make sure that you are using a timer that is accurate  – Even brand new units often have timers with settings that are off by up to a minute.

5.If the unit has a timer and it is still not working, you may have over-cooked the food.

6.If the unit has a timer and it is still not working, you may have used too much water in your recipe.

7.Lastly, if the unit has a thermostat, make sure that it is okay (elements can break down over time).

8.If none of the above steps are working, or you are still having problems with the timer, you may want to shut the unit off and plug it back in.

9.You can also try using a different timer (you can get an inexpensive one here).

10.Finally, make sure that you have cleared your unit of any debris or leftover food that might have gotten trapped in it (this happens a lot more often than you would think).

How do I use a second timer:

If you want to use multiple timers, you can do so by having them wired into a power strip. For example, if you want to set two timers and don’t have an option to wire them in separately, you can use the same timer (we sell different ones here ). But if your timer didn’t come with instructions on how to wire it into a power strip, check out this video: If your unit has an old thermostat (like the one we linked above), it may also be possible that it has been damaged by moisture. If that is the case, then you can replace your thermostat here . But note: you may want to consider buying a new unit if the current one is still not working.

How do I clean my Air Fryer:

1:  Always make sure that your countertop and areas nearby are completely clear of any excess food or spills.

2:  Do not use cooking spray in your unit or anything similar to it. It can damage the exterior of your unit (and it will make it look messy) as well as possibly harm residue that can turn into food particles (it will also ruin the flavor of your food and cause unwanted burning).

3:  Your basket, heating element and blades will only need to be cleaned when there is a build-up of residue that you can see.

4:  You can clean the heating element by using a simple wiping or scrubbing action with a cloth that has been soaked in warm water.

5:  You can also use a mild soap solution instead of plain water.

6:  Always rinse your unit with cold water after cleaning it. This will wash away any food particles or residue that was left behind during cleaning and prevent them from burning during the next use.

7:  A clean unit will also help you to cook better food in the future, as well as extend the life of your cooking accessories.

8:  ***If you are going to use your air fryer heavily, we recommend that you wipe down your unit after every use.***

9:  And finally, be sure to clean your basket before placing it back into the unit.

The power air fryer does not have a fan. However, it does draw in air from the outside through vents on the unit, which then heats up.

How do I make my air fryer work?

Unfortunately, this is not something that we can tell you. You will need to check your user manual for each unit and follow the instructions there to fix any issues with your unit. Our basic troubleshooting guide should help you out as well:  Troubleshooting Guide .

How do you reset an air fryer?

The issue with resetting an air fryer is similar to the issue with fixing one. We will need the user manual in order to help you reset the unit properly. You can get a copy of your user manual by following this link:  Air Fryer Manual .

How do I set the timer for my air fryer?

A lot of units will have an integrated timer that you can simply set to the desired time (usually one minute increments). If your timer is not integrated, there should be a knob on the outside of your unit that you can turn.

Do air fryers have fuses?

Not all models do; however, there is a pretty easy way to check if you have one or not. If you are looking in your manual for how to activate the timer, make sure that it tells you to touch the tip of the fuse (usually a metal cylinder). If you have a fuse, then it will be located somewhere near where the fuse block is.

Your air fryer will definitely help you save a lot of time, and with the proper care, it should last you several years. That being said, if your unit is starting to show signs of wear, or it is not working properly, then it is time to replace it with a newer model.
