Power Air Fryer Pro Troubleshooting

It seems like every other day there’s a new appliance introduced to the market. From appliances such as roasters and mixers to the newest trend of air fryers, it’s difficult to keep up with all of these new cooking tools. Do you own an air fryer and wonder why your food is turning out soggy or burnt? The article will provide some troubleshooting tips for those who may be struggling with using their air fryer.

One of the problems I found with the Power Air Fryer Pro (which I’ll be reviewing soon) was that it was burning and browning all of my food. The required cook time for fries and chicken is around 8 minutes for a medium, yet my chicken wings were well done in just two minutes.

If you’re having this problem as well, there are a few tricks that you can try before just calling the company and demanding a return/refund.

Most likely your air fryer is set at a higher temperature than you need. Make sure to check the temperature setting on your air fryer because if it’s set too high, everything will burn or turn out soggy.

Does the power air fryer have a fan?

Yes! It does have a fan, though it’s located in the back of the unit. The fryer is quite small too so the fan doesn’t blow over all food, just whatever is closest to it. When I cook chicken wings or chicken strips, I place them far away from the fan so that they get crispier on one side than the other. If you’re placing fries on there you can put them closer to the fan for even results.

The max temp on my airfryer is 390°F/200°C. I’ve noticed that the chicken wings don’t crisp up until the temp reaches 365°F. That’s a really high setting and I definitely can’t eat my food at that temperature because it’s more brown than crisp.

If you want a lower temp, make sure to keep a close eye on your food. You’ll need to stir your wings or flip them around every now and then so that they cook evenly and aren’t soggy/halfway cooked. Chicken wings have a tendency to turn out soggy if you cook them too long.

I don’t recommend keeping your temp low on your air fryer because it eats up more energy and makes your food cook longer. I tried making some chicken breasts on the air fryer with a low temp of 350°F and it took nearly 20 minutes for them to finish cooking. The results were delicious though!

I’ve noticed that when you keep your temp at high, there won’t be much oil dripping in the basket. When you keep the temp at medium, which is around 365°F, there will be more oil in the basket at the end of cooking.

Why is the fan in my air fryer not working?

If your air fryer has a fan that can be used to cook food, it’s one of the best features that the air fryer has. The fan circulates warm air all around your food so that it cooks evenly. If you notice that the fries are not cooking evenly, try flipping them halfway through the cook time so they cook on both sides instead of just one.

The fan should be turned on before you start cooking. If you start to cook without turning it on first nothing will happen because there are no sensors in place to tell if the food is cooked or not. The fan isn’t needed to cook food if you’re using the outer basket because you’re using the oil to cook instead of circulating warm air.

Make sure your fan is on first before cooking.

Is it supposed to drip?

Yes! There will be oil dripping into the bottom of your fryer. If there’s no oil in there, then obviously something is wrong with your air fryer. It’s safe to leave the air fryer unattended because any sort of leaking will stop once it reaches a certain temperature. You don’t want to leave your air fryer unattended under the sun because that will cause the oil to overheat and leak all over. Just be sure to keep it in a cool, dry place.

Cooking chicken wings is one of the most oil-drip heavy tasks you’ll do with your air fryer, but it’s important to make sure they are fully cooked before you take them out. The amount of oil will vary depending on what size of chicken wings you are using. It takes about 10 chicken wings for me to fill my air fryer up halfway with oil.

Powerxl air fryer fan replacement?

I would not recommend replacing the fan in your air fryer. It’s very hard for you to tell if the fan is broken or not and replacing it yourself can be risky especially since you don’t know if you’ll be able to get a good quality replacement. The best thing you can do is contact customer service and see if they can send your fan to them so they can fix it.

The only reason why I would consider buying a replacement air fryer fan is if I’m really desperate and my air fryer isn’t working at all because of the fan issue. If that doesn’t work, then I’ll just purchase a brand new air fryer because getting a new one will be cheaper than fixing mine.

Power Air Fryer Pro Troubleshooting

The air fryer appeared to be working well until I started to cook my food in it. At first, I thought it was just burning, but then my potatoes started getting soggy and the chicken wings weren’t crispy enough. It’s definitely an issue because there’s no salty flavor in the food at all.

I read that the Power Air fryer Pro has a 3 year warranty and that they would send out a new fan. I didn’t get a response from them for over two weeks and was becoming concerned with their lack of communication, so I decided to call them and see what was going on.

How do I fix my air fryer fan?

You can’t really fix your air fryer fan because it’s not broken, it’s just set too high. Turn your temperature down to medium and you’ll notice that there will be less oil dripping into the basket once your food is done cooking. The fan will kick on during the whole cook time so make sure you place the hot wings far away from the fan to make sure they are crunchy.

Is 350°F too hot? Yes! 350°F is definitely hot, especially if you’re making chicken breast because they are tiny compared to chicken wings or other meat products. It takes ages for them to cook since there isn’t much heat coming at them.

Air fryer fan not blowing?

If your air fryer fan isn’t working when you’re using it, then obviously it’s broken. I would not recommend buying a replacement unless mine stopped working completely.

How do you fix an air fryer in the middle of cooking?

If your air fryer stops in the middle of your cook time, there is nothing you can do except let it cool down. When things are still hot, it’s harder for them to cool down especially when they are in contact with each other. The best thing you can do is turn off the power to the appliance and allow it to cool off completely before trying to start cooking again.

If the heat is not there anymore, you can start using the air fryer again. The food will cook faster this way because there will still be hot air circulating around it. When I was making my crispy wing recipe, I tried to re-start cooking after waiting for 10 minutes and my wings were getting soggy because it was too cold. I had to wait for 20 minutes until it was heated up again.

There are two different ways you can reheat your food after they have cooled off without letting them absorb any more cold air inside of them: You can put them in the fridge or microwave your food for about five seconds to warm them up once more.

Final Thoughts:

It is very important to maintain your air fryer to make sure that everything works as it should. This can be easily done by making sure that there’s no food crumbs stuck inside of the basket and cleaning out the fan. You shouldn’t have to do anything else, but it doesn’t hurt if you want to season your air fryer a bit with a little oil before using it.
